About Me

Lillian Hines

Lillian Hines is a student at the University of Kansas, studying Strategic Communications through the Journalism School. She has a deep love for solving problems, especially problems that can be solved with communication. She was able to practice this skill through her internship with Mile Marker Financial Advocates in Narragansett, RI, where she aided in communication through both interpersonal conversations in the office and also with clients.

A priority that she has is to travel anywhere and everywhere she is able to. Therefore, she is applying to study abroad for her fall semester of her third year at KU. A few places that peak her interest are Italy, Bangkok, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

Lillian is a member of Alpha Delta Pi, a sorority at the University of Kansas. She loves the community aspect her sorority provides and believes it has taught her many valuable lessons. She gained time management skills, learned how to network, and learned the importance of being involved within her community.

In high school, she found an interest in yoga through one of her classes and practices daily. She is still at a beginner to intermediate level but continues to work to become more advanced. She still prides herself on being used as an example in class for the Warrior two pose in her senior year of high school.
